Trek, shoes, and Shae

Well, Lexi and I had the privilege to go on Trek and it was a wonderful experience. I feel bad for all of you that didn't get to go on Trek. It was great I had so much fun. I'd say the best part was the river crossing, and getting to dunk people in the water. After a hot day it was very nice to jump into water. All and all we walked 32 miles, and our campsite was the farthest possible away. Instead of walking 3 miles to Martin's Cove we walked 7 miles, so there and back was 14 miles on the hottest day of the year for Wyoming 102 degrees. There was a lot of miracles on Trek. We had a horrible windstorm down at camp and it destroyed tents and picked up heavy propane tanks which was thrown into cars. The miracle is that no one was there to get hurt. I learned that Gatorade makes me really sick (some kind of allergic reaction, I don't know), and the first and second day was miserable because they made me drink it and I could hardly walk because of pain and throwing up feelings. I then drank water rather than Gatorade and I was fine the last 2 days. We learned a lot about pioneers and I was thinking of how most of them lost someone in their family. I couldn't bare to loose anyone of my family members (especially Lexi since she is closest in age and my best friend). You might be wondering why did Parker put shoes in the title of the post page. Well, I'll tell you and show you pictures. These shoes have been through 3 generations of boys and they have been my favorite. They died on Trek, sad to say. And I decided to hang them on my wall as memory of them. You can also see their spirits going off to the spirit world. I was so good at taking pictures I caught that moment.
Also Shae was a pig tonight, and she out ate us all. She ate 3 enchiladas, 3 piece of zucchini bread, beans, and 2 pieces of cheesecake! She was so proud of her self, she pumped up her fist in joy. It was also Daniel's Birthday and we had a awesome birthday dinner. We had cheesecake which was delicious. (If you can't read what it says on the paper tell me and I will write it in a comment box).
So mom wanted to show everyone this. The picture of Lexi and I in our pioneer cloths. And also my sweet pocket watch that everyone loved and was great for trek so I knew what time it was. At least 10 people on Trek when they saw me in my brown vest where like, "Parker you look really sharp." I guess I am a really pointy. Haha that's a real knee slapper.

  3. Luckies! I always wanted to do trek, but never got to. We had dumb activities like lake Powell. That's awesome scout the shoes. I never knew you all Heriot using those shoes. Reminds me of when we retired jds shirt in college after he wore it for a week straight.

  4. Still can't believe Shae ate that much. Gave mom a run for her money causing her to cut and mash all sorts of stuff up. Glad that you guys survived trek. The picture of the shoes is pretty great. Very impressive that you managed to capture them leaving.
